ON ANGELS WINGS OR SHOULD I SAY ON ANGELS RINGS (KEY)

Hello this is Liz from Junque Drawer Designs and I am in love with all the charms and image sheets available from Craft Fantastic.

I have been wanting to pair the ANGEL CHARM, WING CHARM and the ANGELS MINI AND SMALL GLASS SIZES IMAGE SHEET together and I decided on making a key ring with them.

I picked the angel trio image and then adhered the SMALL GLASS SQUARE with the CRAFT FANTASTIC GLAZE AND GLUE.  Once dry I cut the image out and put it into the SMALL SQUARE CHARM TRAY SILVER using the FANTASTIC SUPER STICKY DOTS.

I then used the LARGE JUMP RINGS silver to attach all charms and the tray to the KEYRING W/CLIP silver. 

This Key Ring will make an excellent gift for any occasion. 

Getting Ready for Halloween

Hello everyone!!  Kymona from Kreative Kymona here with a question for you.  How are you getting ready for Halloween?

Halloween is such a fun holiday. Its a time for children and adults to dress up and go tick or treating in the neighborhood.  Its also time for crafters to create and make amazing things to celebrate the holiday.

I decided to join in on the fun!!

Today For A Little Something Different

Hi Everyone! Today I am doing a little something different for you. I am not bringing you a "finished project" but rather sharing information on something that has been asked about our Glaze And Glue. So I am going to share the testing and show you how it went.

 

The question has been asked as to whether you can use Glaze And Glue with fabric. So here are three different types of fabric I used for testing. The blue one is a very thin lace, the off white piece is a piece of eyelet fabric and the third is a little bit thicker piece of trim.

 

For the purpose of testing I am using medium square glass on all three fabric pieces. I have applied the Glaze And Glue to the flat side of the glass as I would normally do for paper and placed the glass on top of the fabric. I did apply more glue than I would have for paper. Big lesson here, the drying time is much longer for fabric. Whereas with paper when you apply pressure, you can feel it grip within a moment or two. With the fabric I kept applying pressure and the fabric would come right off. I ultimately set it aside to dry for a little bit (more like ten to fifteen minutes) and came back to it. But, once it had dried, it really held well! These next three pictures are during the drying time.

This next picture shows the three samples once dry. You can see they have that same magnified clarity as paper images once dry and that is pretty awesome looking.

I then trimmed around the pieces and am showing you the front and back of the dried samples below.

Best Fishes Masculine Birthday Card

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing another masculine project using these vintage looking typewriter letters from Craft Fantastic as a sentiment on my Dad's birthday card. You can see how versatile these products are on cards, scrapbook layouts, jewelry, key chains, planners, and more.

Let's get started:

I chose several scrap pieces from different nautical collections that I've been saving over the years. And did a little layering until I liked the design and adhered it to the card base.

I found using a 1" square punch kept all the Typewriter Keys Letters the same size and then adhered them to the card in a crossword like pattern with the Super Sticky Dots.

I came across an anchor die cut piece that I trimmed down to resemble a fishing hook. Added some bakers twine for the fishing line. Then added this silver dragonfly charm to resemble a shiny fishing lure. Because there are some amazing looking lures out there. Right?  I added a Super Sticky Dot on the back of the metal charm to adhere it in place.

Voila! Another great project using card making supplies and scraps, along with these wonderful Craft Fantastic  products, because they're not just for jewelry making anymore. Try them for yourself and you'll see. The possibilities are truly endless for so many craft projects!

"BOO" PART TWO

Greetings and welcome to BOO part two!!! Halloween is approaching and I'm so excited about the 2 new IMAGE SHEETS available now on the CRAFT FANTASTIC website.  They are both HALLOWEEN! 

I used the stackable SLIDE BANGLE BRACELT antique brass along with the MINI ROUND DUO SIDE TRAYS antique brass with MINI GLASS ROUNDS to create these SPOOKTACULAR bracelets! 

Other products used in this project are:

CRAFT FANTASTIC GLAZE AND GLUE
SMALL JUMP RINGS antique brass
SUPER STICKY DOTS
The spider charms are from Tim Holtz and the pictured dark brown copic marker was used to color the charms to match the bangles as they are not quite silver or brass but some sort of mixture of both.  By adding color with the copic marker it helped to make the spiders closer in color to the bangle.

Once I picked out the images I wanted to use from the new HALLOWEEN MINI AND SMALL GLASS SIZES image sheet I used the FANTASTIC GLAZE AND GLUE to adhere to the MINI GLASS ROUNDS.  Once dry I cut the images out and inserted them into the MINI ROUND DUO TRAYS using the exact same image on both sides.  I also could have put a different image on the backside but thought doing them all the same would look great!

I then attached the charm and tray to each bangle using the SMALL JUMP RINGS antique brass.

How to Create Sentiment Necklaces + Giveaway

Hello everyone!!  Kymona from Kreative Kymona here today to share with you how to create sentiment necklaces using pattern paper.

How many of us have tons of pattern paper sitting around our house doing nothing with?  Let me see those hands!!  I have both of my hands up because I have two boxes of pattern paper that I haven't done anything with since I bought them.  Why am I hoarding them?  I bought them to use them so I decided today would be that day!!

Let me show you what I mean:

Aren't these statement means just amazing!!  Well I used patten paper from a collection I bought last year called Warm & Cozy by Jen Hadfield.  Yes, last year and I never even open it until today.

Silly Me!!!

Let's take a look:

I absoutley love how these necklaces turn out!! They say so much in such a simple way!!  

Creating them was so easy, I could make a ton more!!

Here's how I created them:

• Decide on which tray you want to use.  I used the Extra Large Round Pendant Antique Brass Tray with the XLarge Glass Rounds and the Puffy Square Pendant Silver Kit.
• Then decided on the sentiments you want to use from the pattern paper you have in your stash.  I went with warm sentiments since the fall is approach and we all need a little bit more coziness.
• I added Fantastic Glaze and Glue to the glasses and placed them on top of the cut out sentiments. 
• Let that set for a couple of seconds.  
• Press down to make sure the glue doesn't have bubbles and is pretty sturdy on the paper. 
• Using a q-tip clean the excess glue from around the glass then cut the excess paper away. 
• Place two Fantastic Super Sticky Dots in the extra large trays and one in the square trays.
• Remove the backing and place the glasses in each tray.
• Choose the neckwear, I used the 24" Ball Silver Chain and the 24" Ball Antique Brass Chain for these pieces. 

Totally doable and so worth it!!

More Fall Fun With Craft Fantastic

Here in New Mexico there is an awesome event every Labor Day Weekend at the Santo Domingo Pueblo. This event is a favorite for me every year. Literally hundreds of artisans from many different pueblos have their work for sale. I would have brought photos for you to see this amazing event but there is no photography allowed. What I wish I could do justice in describing to you is the amazing array of color in all the incredible jewelry that you see. And very prevalent among the various artists is earthtones, beautiful stonework, turquiose, lapis, jade, hematite, to name just a few. One of the things I really love about our Craft Fantastic products is that ability to create so many different things and we are really only limited by our imaginations. You will have to stay tuned for some amazing things that will be coming up, but for today, here is something sparkly!

So lets get started. I chose the following to work with: watchface tray, medium glass round, faux leather necklace, fantastic super sticky dots and a few nail polish choices.

On the flat side of your jewelers glass first give a coat of clear nail polish that contains some kind of something extra, like glitter, flecks, etc. On this piece I used several different special effects coats including one that is an iridescent glitter. Let dry. Remember this is really the coat that will show the most so you can even layer several coats to build up your effect. Next pick out a deep shade of polish. This willl actually be your backing color. I have chosen black this time to let the colors of the top layers stand out. You really don't want to be able to see through this last coat so if you need to give a second coat, do so but definitely let your layers dry between coats. Once dry, simply apply fantastic super sticky dots to the watchface pendant tray and adhere your glass. I chose to finish the piece with one of our black faux leather necklaces.

I love that you can use this pendant on either side, getting double the wear out of it!

Starting to Think Fall Colors With Craft Fantastic

As we start to head into the Fall I start to think about my jewelry and think of those pastels and sherbert colors that I love so much in the summer will start to give way to jewel tones and deeper, richer colors. So today I am bringing you one of my favorite techniques with a deeper tone, perfect for starting on fall accessories!

So lets get started. I chose the following to work with: medallion tray, large glass round, faux leather necklace, fantastic super sticky dots and a few nail polish choices.

September Kit Instructions

The NEW September Kit-of-the-Month is out and it is absolutely SPOOKY-licous! 

Fall is just around the corner and with it comes all of the autumnal celebrations that showcase what we love best about this season. The leaves start to don their fiery hues, the temps drop just enough for us to pull our favorite sweaters off the top shelf of our closet, we gather for conversations around the backyard fire pit while sipping cocoa (or wine) and hearty soups and stews find their way to our dinner table. All of these things make me so happy, but my absolute favorite thing to arrive with Fall is Halloween! I guess I've never lost that child-like infatuation with it. I love the costumes, the imagery, the candy, everything! Which is why this month's kit makes my heart swell and makes me feel like a kid again. I hope you love it, too!

ADDING AN IMAGE TO A PIECE OF GLASS

WORKING WITH STICKY (JEWELER'S) DOTS

1. Select an image and add it to the glass cabochons using Fantastic Glaze & Glue.   
2. Remove the small jump ring from the end of the 30" Rolo Chain. Cut a length of chain that is 6 links long using scissors. Re-attach the small jump ring.
3. Close the Rolo Chain and then cut the necklace in the center. Attach a small jump ring to each end of the chain.
4. Attach a large jump ring by stringing it through the 2 small jump rings.
5. Attach the Owl Tray to the large jump ring using a Pinch Bail.
6. Attach the small length of chain to the Mini Square Charm Tray using a small jump ring. Attach the other end to the large jump ring also using a small jump ring.
7. Attach the Tree Charm to the large jump ring using a small jump ring.
8. Add a Fantastic Sticky Dot to each tray. Remove the red backing to expose the adhesive. 
9. Firmly press the appropriate cabochon into the trays. 

1. Select an image and add it to the glass cabochon using Fantastic Glaze & Glue.   
2. Cut the center of the 24" Rolo Chain using scissors. Attach the V-Connector to each end using small jump rings. 
3. Attach the Rectangle Frame Tray to the V-Connector using a small jump ring.
4. Add 2 Fantastic Sticky Dots to the Rectangle Frame Tray. Remove the red backing to expose the adhesive. 
5. Firmly press the cabochon into the tray. 

1. Select images and add them to the glass cabochons using Fantastic Glaze & Glue. 
2. Attach the Mini Square Charm Trays to the Charm Bracelet using small jump rings. Leave enough space in between each tray to allow for a charm.
3. Attach a charm in between the Mini Square Charm Trays using small jump rings.  
4. Add a Fantastic Sticky Dot to each tray. CRemove the red backing to expose the adhesive. 
5. Firmly press the appropriate cabochon into each tray. 

1. Select an image and add it to the glass cabochon using Fantastic Glaze & Glue. 
2. Attach the Mini Square Charm Tray to the Slide Bangle using a small jump ring. 
3. Attach the Flower Skull Charm to the Slide Bangle using a small jump ring.
4. Add a Fantastic Sticky Dot to the tray. Remove the red backing to expose the adhesive. 
5. Firmly press the cabochon into the tray. 

1. Select images and add them to the glass cabochons using Fantastic Glaze & Glue. 
2. Attach a Mini Square Charm Tray to each Tiny Round Link Tray using a small jump ring. 
3. Attach a French Ear Wire to each Tiny Round Link Tray.
4. Add a Fantastic Sticky Dot to each tray. Cut the dots in quarters to use in the Tiny Round Link Trays. Remove the red backing to expose the adhesive. 
5. Firmly press the appropriate cabochon into each tray.
