Valentine Treat Boxes

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing a couple of sweet treat boxes you can make in a flash with just a few craft supplies and these wonderful products from Craft Fantastic.  If you make or buy sweets for the kids to take to school, give your family a little surprise, or maybe share treats with friends and co-workers, you are sure to please with these sweet treats for Valentine's Day.

I started with an empty paper towel holder cut in half to give me two pieces for my treat boxes. Because I like to upcycle, but you could use cardstock with this free printable template to cut out your own box that measures about 6 x 4."  Or if you have a pillow box die cut or SVG that will do too.

I used 6 x 6" polka dot patterned paper, cut down to 6 x 4", wrapped around and adhered to the paper towel holder with sticky dots. Then used the remaining 2 x 6" strip to wrap around the centers of the holders and adhered with sticky dots too.  Add ribbon (as shown in pic 1 above).

To make Craft Fantastic glass pieces for projects, follow these 3 basic steps:

1.  Choose from hundreds of images. Add several drops of Fantastic Glaze & Glue on the back of an appropriate sized Glass you've chosen. Press on image until set. Wipe off any excess glue with a Q-tip.

2.  Cut around the glass and cut out the image.

3.  Adhere glass images and patterned paper with Fantastic Super Sticky Dots.

And you can find more details on how I made these glass pieces sparkle here.

I felt like the glass pieces still needed something...so I did what I do...I layer!!!  And I adhered them to larger images with sticky dots to make them pop.  And pop they did.  Don't you think?  Cut out the images.  Adhere the whole piece to the treat box with sticky dots. Push in and pinch the ends to close. And I added a Valentines sticker to the back.

Add some candy and you're ready to surprise your loves with these sweet treat boxes for Valentine's Day or any special day throughout the year!

Thanks for stopping by!  XOXO

Thanksgiving Name Cards and Napkin Rings

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing a couple of Fall projects I created using these amazingly detailed New Thanksgiving images from Craft Fantastic to decorate your table for the holidays or any special occasion.

How to make Name Cards for place settings:

For this project I choose to use a couple 6x6 paper pads, because I have a lot of them (lol), but also because they're already measured and easy to use.  I cut the bottom layer, an orange checkered or houndstooth type patterned paper at 2 ¼" x 6."  Then cut the red dot paper a smidge smaller at 2" x 6."  And adhere the red strips to the orange bottom layers (with an adhesive runner) as shown below.

I printed our names from my computer, in black, on cream colored cardstock, at a 36pt font, with an Edwardian Script font.  And cut each card 1 ¾" x 3 ¼" and adhered to each panel.  Or you could also use any of our alphabet images to create names too!

These new Thanksgiving image sheets are just beautiful and can be used for so many things. I chose several different images for my cards so you can see them up close. Cut out each image and adhere to the cardstock panel with Fantastic Glaze & Glue so the images will lay flat.

Score each card lightly at 3 ½" so you don't cut through your cards.

Fold and crease the name cards so they will stand up as shown below.

To personalize a couple cards I added a touch of rosemary from my garden and adhered with Fantastic Glaze & Glue too. And now you're ready to put each card at each persons place setting at the dinner table.

How to make Napkin Rings:

I started with an empty toilet paper roll. I know what you are thinking and you can use a paper towel holder or some big box craft stores sell brand new paper rolls too. Really!

I cut the toilet paper roll at 2 ¼" to create a nice size ring. Cut an orange checkered strip 2 ¼" x 6"  and a red dot strip 2"x 6" (same size as our place cards above, to keep it easy) and adhered them together.  Then attached the strip to the napkin ring with Fantastic Super Sticky Dots. You need a super strong adhesive or the paper will pop off and your project will fall apart before dinner. And we don't want that. So, I also wrapped bakers twine around the napkin ring a few times to secure it in place too.

I selected this large leafy image (upper right corner) as my bottom border, cut it out, and set aside. And I selected the "Happy Turkey Day" sentiment image to go on top of the leafy image.  Added several drops of Fantastic Glaze & Glue to a Large Glass Square and adhered to the sentiment image. Press firmly and wait a couple minutes until dry. Wipe any excess glue around the edges with a Q-tip. Cut out the glass image piece to layer it upon the large leafy image and adhere with several Fantastic Super Sticky Dots.

Adhere the whole square piece to the napkin ring with several Fantastic Super Sticky Dots to hold it in place. And tied a sprig of rosemary from my garden with bakers twine, add napkins, and your table is set for dinner.

Voila! Your guests have a personalized souvenir to take home or you have special embellishments to use in a scrapbook of the day. Either way it's a couple of great projects using card making or scrapbooking supplies along with these wonderful Craft Fantastic products. Because they really aren't just for jewelry making anymore. The possibilities are truly endless!  I wish you all health and happiness this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by!

8x8 Camping Scrapbook Layout

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing this 8x8 scrapbooking album I made with patterned camping paper and these really cool alphabet tile images from Craft Fantastic

Nothing says summer like camping!  Anthis 8" x 8" album is the perfect size for those little moments you want to remember, but maybe don't have a lot of pictures, or you don't want to make a huge 12" albumAnd believe it, I only used one pad of 8x8 patterned camping paper so my whole album coordinated nicely and came together really fast too!

And like most scrapbookers, I create in arrears and as you can see, I'm still scrapbooking 2010. And that is okay. Design whatever year you want and what makes you happy. I used to scrapbook chronologically and then I got bored. So, now I jump around from year to year and project to project and that makes me happy to relive those special moments.

Next I used a 1" square punch to punch out my Alphabet Letters for the cover and on a few special pages.  And then adhered the letters with Craft Fantastic Super Sticky Dots. It made it so much easier to adhere the letters to the album cover and the pages and they won't easily come off.

Voila! Another great idea using your scrapbooking supplies, your favorite patterned paper, or even your scraps along with these wonderful Craft Fantastic  products, because they're not just for jewelry making anymore. The possibilities are truly endless for so many projects!  Be sure to check out all of our fabulous projects on the Blog for more ideas.

Please leave us a comment and let us know what you think of our projects and what you're making. We’d love to hear from you.  Happy Camping and thanks for stopping by!

Craft Fantastic Gifts for Mom's and Grandmother's

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing a personalized piece of jewelry I made using  Craft Fantastic products, my scrapbooking supplies, and another special collage technique I made for my kids Grandmother.  As Mother’s Day is fast approaching on May 14th and you too have time to try this fantastic technique for all the special ladies in your life.

Let’s get started:

1.  Choose your images. I picked this colorful plaid patterned paper, two layered heart images, and the word “grandmother” (as shown above). To create this personalized collage.

2.  Cut out the word “grandmother” from the image sheet, add a few Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back and adhere it to a piece of plaid patterned paper. Press gently to lay flat and remove any excess glue with a Q-tip. Let dry for a minute.

 3. Next I chose two images that had similar sized hearts from the Valentines image sheet. That's right, re-purposed images from other holidays. Cut one heart out completely and the second image I cut out in a square (as shown above).

4.  Add a few Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the heart images and adhere together. Press gently to lay flat and remove any excess glue with a Q-tip. Let dry for a minute.  Add some sparkly diamond glitter glue to parts of the flowers. Let dry for a few minutes.

5.  Add several Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back of an extra large glass circle and glue together. Move your glass around to position your image, add a little pressure to get any bubbles out, and make sure the surface is completely covered. Hold in place for a couple minutes to set in place. Let dry for a few minutes.

6.  Once dry, use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Cut around the edges of the glass and cut out the image.

7.  Next I chose this stunning extra large silver tray pendant for my image to sit in. Added five Fantastic Jewelers Dots to hold the extra large glass in place, peel off red backing, place the glass into the tray, and press down all over to secure in place. Add a neck chain to complete your gift and voila! Another stunning collage piece that is super special for our Grandmother’s, Mom’s, and any special lady for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14th. And you can too! This took less than an hour to put together, once I decided on the images and layout.

I hope I’ve inspired you to try these wonderful Craft Fantastic products along with your paper crafting supplies. Because the possibilities are truly endless!  So think about giving this hobby a try and make a gift that is uniquely handmade for any occasion. Happy Mother's Day everybody and hug those special ladies! Please leave us a comment and let us know what you think, we’d love to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage By The Sea Necklace + Scraps

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset  sharing a unique piece of jewelry I made using antique brass Craft Fantastic  products and some beachy vintage scrapbooking supplies.

With warm weather approaching, who is ready to head to the beach? I know I am. So today I’ll show you how the beach inspired me to make this one-of-a-kind handmade necklace with just a few supplies and scraps.

 Let’s get started:

1.  Choose your image. I found a small sample picture from the cover page of this beachy paper collection    (as shown above with a white arrow).  I placed the square glass over the image and it appeared to be too small to fill the whole surface of the glass. So, I cut out the image to layer it with a coordinating piece of gingham patterned paper from the same collection. Surprise! Another art collage.  Look around, use what you have, be creative, and use your scraps too! One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure.

2.  Add a few Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back of the tiny sample image and adhere to a piece of gingham patterned paper. Let dry for a minute.

3.  Then add several Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back of a glass square and glue together. Move your glass around, add a little pressure to get any bubbles out, and make sure the surface is completely covered. Hold in place for a couple minutes to set. Let dry.
4.  Once dry, use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Cut around the edges of the glass and cut out the image.
5.  Next I chose this antique brass square tray pendant because it has a vintage look for my image to sit in. Add a couple Fantastic Jewelers Dots to the tray pendant, peel off red backing, place your glass image into the tray, and press down. Add tray to neck chain.

6.  As you can see from my pictures I had a few fantastic charms to choose from, but in the end I selected this lovely antique heart charm. I slipped the charm onto a small jump ring and used my pliers to close and attached directly to a loop on the neck chain. And Voila! Another stunning piece of handmade jewelry that nobody but you and I know it was made from paper scraps.

I hope I’ve inspired you to try these wonderful Craft Fantastic products along with your paper crafting supplies. Because the possibilities are truly endless!  And don’t forget Mother’s Day is May 14th so think about giving this hobby a try and make a gift that is uniquely special and handmade. My Garden 12x12 Scrapbook Layout

Happy Spring everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing a unique 12x12 scrapbook layout project I made with Craft Fantastic products and some scrapbooking supplies to show you how versatile these products are on layouts and cards too! And even though more snow is arriving in my area, I’m still thinking about Spring. Which is easy to do with these gorgeous *NEW* butterfly images and some of the flowers that have bloomed in my garden over the years.

Let’s get started:
1. I chose a 12x12” spring plaid patterned paper as my base. Cut a piece of green polka dot cardstock 12x6,” border punched the bottom, and adhered to the plaid paper. Then adhered and layered an 8.5x11” piece of turquoise cardstock to the layout.

2.  Next I printed my pictures in color on white cardstock, trimmed each picture leaving a white border around them, and adhered to the turquoise cardstock.

3. Added the title “My Garden” in green colored alpha stickers.

4. To make my own unique handmade embellishments to match my project I choose these new butterfly images. I could have used them flat as is, but I really wanted the magnified dimension you get with a glass round piece.

5. Add some Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the backs of the round glass and glue them onto the butterfly images. Move your glass around, add a little pressure to get any bubbles out, and make sure the surface is completely covered. Hold in place for a couple minutes. Let dry.

6. Once dry, use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Cut around the edges of the glass and cut out the butterfly images.

7. Add a Fantastic Jewelers Dot to the back of each butterfly image and adhere to the layout.  And voila! You have a unique layout with handmade embellishments that will look great in a scrapbook. Or mount on canvas or in a frame for a one of a kind home decor piece. Or give as a special gift, as Mother’s Day is May 14th.

<<Bonus Card>> cut out butterfly image and adhere to card with a jewelers dot.
