Spooktacular Halloween Accessories

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing some spooktacular jewelry that you can make yourself to accessorize for Halloween or any day with these amazing antique brass pieces from Craft Fantastic. I LOVE this time of year! So, follow along as I show you a couple of fun pieces you can make for yourself or grab an affordable kit and make some for your friends and family too!

Let's get started...

For this project I chose this darling black cat from this Halloween image sheet.

Add a few drops of Glaze & Glue onto a mini glass square, place over the image, and press gently for a few minutes until set. Wipe off any excess glue around the edges with a Q-tip. Allow a few minutes to dry.

Once dry, cut around the glass and cut out the image. Next I chose this mini antique brass square tray to fit nicely on the bangle and to give it a vintage look.

Adhere a Fantastic Super Sticky Dot to the tray, remove red sticky dot backing and place the glass image in the tray. And press gently to set.

Next I chose a tiny clear round glass bling, but I wanted it orange for Halloween or Fall. So, I colored it with an orange alcohol marker. Set a side to dry.

I picked out this tiny antique brass round tray, because it has two loops on each end. One to attach a jump ring and the other to attach a charm to dangle. 

Once the orange glass bling is dry, adhere a Fantastic Super Sticky Dot to the tray, remove red backing, and place in the tray. Press gently to set.

Pick out some of your favorite charms and attach small jump rings to all of them and the trays with pliers. 

And now the fun...Assembling!!!

Just screw off the ball on the end of this antique brass bangle bracelet and slip on all the pieces and screw the ball back on to complete for Halloween or maybe Day of the Dead (Día De Los Muertos).  Pretty, right???

Change and personalize your bangle anytime with the season, holiday, occasion,  or your mood with a switch of a new charms or maybe make new trays!

Or add this spooky tray to a faux leather necklace and be stylish for Howloween!

Tropical Vacation Necklace

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing this beautiful tropical vacation necklace I made for a special friend who often travels to Hawaii. I used tropical patterned travel paper I found at a local scrapbooking store and these gorgeous antique brass products from Craft Fantastic.

  

Let’s get started: 

1.  Gather up all your supplies from these links:  

EXTRA LARGE ROUND PENDANT TRAY antique brass, XLARGE GLASS ROUNDS, 30" ROLO CHAIN antique brass, Fantastic Glaze & Glue, Fantastic Super Sticky Dots,  Q-tips, and Hawaiian patterned paper. 

2.  Choose your image. That's the hardest part. I found this Hawaiian patterned travel paper with these colorful hibiscus flowers to remind my friend of her travels and the gorgeous tropical landscape.  

3.  Next add several Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back of an XL glass circle and place onto the flower images. Move your glass around to position your image, and add a little pressure to get any bubbles out. Hold in place for a couple minutes to set and let dry. 

4.  Once set, use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Cut around the glass and cut out the image.  Place 2-4 Fantastic Super Sticky Dots to the XL antique brass tray to secure it really good, peel off red backing, place glass into the tray, and press down to secure in place.  Add 30" antique brass chain for a nice draping effect. 

Voila! Another stunning handmade jewelry piece to remember those special vacation travels! Add a few charms and make it even more personalized to fit the occasion. Antique Necklaces

Hello everyone!!  Kymona here from Kreative Kymona to share a couple of Antique Necklaces I created for a couple of my writing friends.

For the month of April I participated in a 30 day writing challenge, where I wrote one letter a day to random people.  In each letter, I included a gift that I created.  I have to say that I didn't finish the challenge but I will continue it for the month of May.

So the people that receive a letter from me this month will get a pretty Antique Necklace!!

Lets take a look at the first three:

I have to say I wasn't a fan of the antique jewelry at first but the more I play and create with them, the more they are becoming my favorite.  

They looks so pretty with vintage images.  

I created these necklaces the same way I created this necklace.  You can see the full tutorial there. 

I have a couple more necklaces to create for a couple more letter recipients.  I hope they like them.

Vintage By The Sea Necklace + Scraps

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset  sharing a unique piece of jewelry I made using antique brass Craft Fantastic  products and some beachy vintage scrapbooking supplies. 

With warm weather approaching, who is ready to head to the beach? I know I am. So today I’ll show you how the beach inspired me to make this one-of-a-kind handmade necklace with just a few supplies and scraps. 

 Let’s get started: 

1.  Choose your image. I found a small sample picture from the cover page of this beachy paper collection    (as shown above with a white arrow).  I placed the square glass over the image and it appeared to be too small to fill the whole surface of the glass. So, I cut out the image to layer it with a coordinating piece of gingham patterned paper from the same collection. Surprise! Another art collage.  Look around, use what you have, be creative, and use your scraps too! One woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure.

2.  Add a few Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back of the tiny sample image and adhere to a piece of gingham patterned paper. Let dry for a minute.  

3.  Then add several Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue droplets onto the back of a glass square and glue together. Move your glass around, add a little pressure to get any bubbles out, and make sure the surface is completely covered. Hold in place for a couple minutes to set. Let dry.

4.  Once dry, use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Cut around the edges of the glass and cut out the image. 

5.  Next I chose this antique brass square tray pendant because it has a vintage look for my image to sit in. Add a couple Fantastic Jewelers Dots to the tray pendant, peel off red backing, place your glass image into the tray, and press down. Add tray to neck chain.

6.  As you can see from my pictures I had a few fantastic charms to choose from, but in the end I selected this lovely antique heart charm. I slipped the charm onto a small jump ring and used my pliers to close and attached directly to a loop on the neck chain. And Voila! Another stunning piece of handmade jewelry that nobody but you and I know it was made from paper scraps.

Craft Fantastic Springtime Pendant

Hi everybody! Kim here from My Kraft Kloset sharing another gorgeous necklace I made with these fantastic products, a new tray pendant, and a new technique. This time of year I’m getting tired of snow and thinking of spring flowers, birds, and traveling. And with these stunning images I could use over and over again in so many different ways. I just love them and I hope you will too.

How the marbled glass bird charm was made:

Last time I tested a coloring technique with Copic Alcohol Markers, see HERE for that tutorial. And this week I tried alcohol inks to see what happens. We all have them, so lets use them on jewelry too. Protect your surface, wear gloves, these will stain. I placed a glass piece on several paper towels (making it thick) or you can use a disposable bowl, and add the alcohol drops over the top of the glass. I started with several green drops to get it bright and 1-2 purple drops on one side. But not too many, or the green gets covered up and then it's all dark and purple. And I wanted both colors and the image to show. Set a side to dry. 

 

The result above is a gorgeous marbled effect that really brings out the colors in the Eiffel Tower image too, don't you think? It does dry pretty fast. But if you find it to be tacky to the touch, just spray it with a clear craft sealant found at your local craft store. 

How the Necklace was made:

1.  Pick an image. I chose this gorgeous floral Eiffel tower image and a vintage bird image shown above. Along with a few supplies.

2. Next I chose one of our new antique round tray pendants with a gorgeous scroll pattern on the back (which you can see below) and a stunning antique leaf charm.

3. Add several drops of Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue onto the flat part of the glass round and place over the image. Too much glue can be cleaned up, but too little won't seal properly to the image. Press a finger over the glass to help distribute the glue, hold in place for about a minute, and then wait 2-3 minutes for it to set.

4. Use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Once set, trim around the edges of the glass and cut out your image.

5. Place two Fantastic Jewelers Dots in the round tray, remove the red backing, and place glass round image into the tray and press down.  For larger trays you’ll want to use more than one dot. For more details, check out the Craft Fantastic tutorial HERE.

6. With pliers add a large jump ring to the leaf charm and the round tray pendant. String threw a chain.

7. Then add the small alcohol inked marbled glass piece to the bird image and add several Craft Fantastic Glaze & Glue drops. Use a Q-tip to remove any excess glue around the edges of the glass. Once set, trim around the edges of the glass and cut out your image. Add a Fantastic Jewelers Dot to the center of a small antique round tray, and string through the chain. And there you have a special and unique springtime pendant.
